AMERICAN IDOL

My American Idol Group - right before we had to check in our cameras and phones.

We got to go to American Idol on Wednesday night.  We were a little bummed when they placed us because we were up above  the stage – we were sitting right under the “A” in the American Idol sign.  But as soon as the show started, we saw the beauty of our seats.  We were sitting directly across the judges and the singers were all over the place so we did not miss anything.  The set is really, really small so you are very close to everyone.  The coolest part for me was to watch the parents – so nervous AND proud AND excited.

Haley, Scotty, and Lauren

I have not been watching Idol at all this season so  I did not know any of the contestants.  There were 3 singers remaining – Scotty, Lauren, and Haley, and they each sang 3 songs.  I am now a BIG Haley fan.  All 3 singers were really, really good and fun to watch.  But  Haley sold me when her dad was up on stage with her playing guitar and then she tripped on the stairs and did not miss a beat.  AND she got voted off last night!  Shoot.

We also had 2 ladies in their mid – 50’s sitting right next to us and they were LOADED.  Remember that older lady who had seen too much sun in “There’s Something About Mary?”  Dead Ringer for both of them!  They were so ready to drive away with Steven Tyler and one of them jumped and hugged Ryan Seacrest – that poor guy!  They were funny to watch.

We also got to stay for a taping of “Right There” by Nicole Scherzinger and 50 Cent a.k.a. Fiddy      That was fun to watch their “LIVE” performance taped 4 times to get it perfect the next day.  It was fun to see how they set up the stage and that Nicole is a knock-out!

We had a lot of fun and I would definitely go again.  I get my tickets by going on this site  http://www.on-camera-audiences.com/  Just sign up for the shows you want to see and wait for the tickets.
