St. Paddy’s Day

A little green food coloring goes a long way!! Just have something you can stir the water with a little bit - preferrably not your finger!

That very naughty leprechaun is a M.E.N.A.C.E.  at our house.  He ALWAYS uses the toilet, pees green, and then doesn’t flush.  AND to top it off, he messes up the house.

My 7 year old son has already made a trap to catch that little guy.  He got some clovers from outside, put pennies on top of the clovers,  and put a TON of tape with the sticky part on the top.  Then made some Lego stairs with pennies trailing up toward the Bowl of Stick.  Finally, to make absolute, 100%, certain the leprechaun will want to check out his trap – 1 strawberry Pez.

What leprechaun would pass this up??

Another fun thing we like to do is make Green Goop.  Very easy but you need corn starch.  Mix together 1 heaping cup of cornstarch with ½ cup water in a plastic container or bowl. Add a few drops of  green food coloring and stir. Pick the goop up in your hands. While you’re working with it and it’s moving, it’s a solid. Stop moving your hands and it turns back into a liquid.   You can keep your Green Goop in the fridge BUT it will get moldy after a couple of days – trust me on that one!

Have fun and create a happy GREEN memory with your kids!!!
